“ICAR-CIRB, Hisar celebrated World Food Day on 17th October to create awareness among college students about hunger and action for the future of food, people and the planet. The theme for world food day 2023 was ‘water is life, water is food, leave no one behind’. The chief guest of the program was Dr. Mukesh Jain, Director, Northern Region Farm Machinery Training and Testing Institute, Hisar. The program was presided by the Dr. T K Datta, Director, ICAR-CIRB, Hisar. Along with all faculty of CIRB about 70 students from Prabhudhan degree college, Village Nyangal badi, Churu district of Rajasthan visited the institute. Dr. P S Yadav, Principal Scientist, ICAR-CIRB delivered lecture on science and fiction to motivate the young minds. The chief guest addressed the gathering and ignited & inspired the youths for sustainable use of the water in future days.”
