The Swachata Abhiyaan 2024 and Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2024 were organized by ICAR-CIRB at the Government Middle School, Nangla. The programme featured various events such as quiz, essay writing, slogan writing, and drawing competition to engage students and promote awareness about cleanliness and sanitation. Additionally, a plantation drive under the initiative ‘Ek Ped Maa Ka Naam’ encouraged students to plant saplings.The event was chaired by the Director, ICAR-CIRB, and graced by Sh. Harpal Singh, Sarpanch of Nangla, and Dr. Jony Chawla, Veterinary Surgeon, Nangla. A team of scientists from ICAR-CIRB—including Dr. P. S. Yadav, Dr. R. K. Sharma, Dr. Navneet Saxena, Dr. S. K. Phulia, Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Dr. Gururaj M., and Dr. Aiswarya S.—were also present. The programme included informative sessions where the team of scientists, along with Dr. Jony Chawla, spoke to students about the importance of cleanliness, sanitation, zoonotic diseases, and vigilance. A vigilance oath-taking ceremony was held, where students pledged their commitment to vigilance and integrity. The event concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, where winners of the various competitions were honoured, making the day both educational and inspiring for all participants.
