National Science Day-2021 Celebrated by CIRB
The Central Institute for Research on Buffaloes, Hisar organized a Science quiz program on 26th February, 2021 at the Govt. Aarohi Model Senior Secondary School, Village Jhhalopur, Ratia in the Fatehabad, district of Haryana as a part of National Science Day (NSD) celebrations. Each year NSD is celebrated to commemorate Dr. CV Raman’s ‘Raman Effect’, a landmark in scientific discoveries, which was announced by the legendary physicist on this day. NSD is an opportunity to celebrate ‘Science’ and ignite young minds about the future avenues, possibilities and welfare through science. Five teams drawn from 130 students of classes 8th – 12th participated the event. To create science awareness and motivate the students, Dr. Sajjan Singh, Principal Scientist at ICAR-CIRB Hisar, delivered lecture on “Future of science, technology and innovation: impact on education, skills and work”. The program was coordinated by the Dr. Gururaj M (Scientist, ICAR-CIRB, Hisar), Dr. Vishal Mudgal (Principal Scientist, ICAR-CIRB, Hisar) and Dr. Ashok Balhara (Senior Scientist, ICAR-CIRB, Hisar)
