A urine-based pregnancy diagnosis test for ruminants was developed and commercialized by ICAR-CIRB, Hisar in early this year. According to the license agreement, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed today on 5th September 2024 between CIRB, BIRAC, Agrinnovate, and Techinvention, Mumbai to further improve this technology and making it simpler. The test, which estimates the presence of biomolecules influenced by embryonic growth and secreted in the urine of pregnant animals, is expected to revolutionize the way veterinarians and farmers monitor the reproductive status of ruminants. The collaboration between ICAR-CIRB and Techinvention aims to advance agricultural technology and improve livestock management, enhancing reproductive management in dairy and beef cattle.
