On the occasion of 88th ICAR Foundation Day, Krishak Goshthi and ICAR Award Ceremony on 16th July at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi, Dr Hema Tripathi, Principal scientist received the Bharat Ratna Dr C. Subramaniam Award for Outstanding Teachers 2015 for promoting quality teaching in the field of Social Sciences. The award consists of ₹1.00 lakh in cash and a citation.
Dr Naresh Selokar scientist and Dr Monika Saini, Young Professional II, Animal Reproduction & Physiology at CIRB received Jawaharlal Nehru Award for P.G. Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Research in Agricultural and Allied Sciences-2015 in field of Animal Science & Biotechnology, respectively. Each of them received ₹ 50,000/-in cash plus a citation and gold plated silver medal. The awards were conferred by the Chief guest of the function, Shri Radha Mohan Singh ji, Hon’ble Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Govt of India, New Delhi.
Shri S.S. Ahluwalia, Union Minister of State for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and Parliamentary Affairs; Shri Parshottam Rupala, Union Minister of State for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and Panchayati Raj; and Shri Sudarshan Bhagat, Union Minister of State for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare also graced the occasion as Guests of Honor. Dr. Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary, DARE and DG, ICAR welcomed the dignitaries and Shri Chhabilendra Roul, Additional Secretary, DARE and Secretary, ICAR proposed the vote of thanks.
