ICAR-CIRB, Hisar organized 21 days training program on dairy entrepreneurship
ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Buffaloes, Hisar organized 21 days training on dairy entrepreneurship for dairy farmers from 8th to 28th March, 2021. The training program was sponsored by the Agricultural Skill Council of India (ASCI). The objective of the training was to develop skills to start efficient and effective dairy farm. In this training program total of 25 dairy farmers were participated and among them two were dairy farm women. Under this training program farmers were trained on various aspects such as different housing systems for dairy animals, preparation of animal feed, feeding pattern for different age group of animals, methods of milking, methods of fodder conservations, maintenance of animal health, importance of record keeping etc. by eminent scientists from ICAR-CIRB, Hisar both theory and practical. Also, the trainees were taken to the nearby dairy farms both private and government owned. On 30th March, 2021 the trainees were assessed by Dr. Runtu Gogoi, Assistant Commissioner from Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying. The assessment of the trainees were done in two steps viz., written examination both theory and practical followed by the viva voce. The training program was coordinated by the Dr. Gururaj M (Scientist, ICAR-CIRB, Hisar), Dr. Sajjan Singh (Principal Scientist, ICAR-CIRB, Hisar) and Gurpreet Kaur (YP-I, ICAR-CIRB, Hisar).
