Director visits CIRB- Sub-Campus Nabha, Punjab
Dr. T.K Datta, Director visited Sub-Campus Nabha on 16th Feb.2021. It was his maiden visit to the Sub-Campus Nabha after joining as Director CIRB. Hon’ble Director was accompanied by Dr. K.P. Singh (Principal Scientist). DR. F.C. Tuteja, Incharge sub-campus, Nabha extended a warm welcome to the Dignitary and briefed him about the ongoing research and extension activities at Sub-Campus. He visited different laboratories, library and semen processing unit and had in-depth discussion regarding the accessibility to publications and necessity of additional lab facilities. During his visit to the animal farm, Dr. Datta appreciated the animal herd of Nili-Ravi, a unique herd in India and suggested measures for promotion of Nili-Ravi breed, its conservation, enhancement and increasing the Institute’s visibility at the global level. This was followed by visit to workshop, feed unit, agriculture fields and got apprised about stock of the cropping scheme, irrigation conveniences and the handiness of green fodder. Subsequently, he addressed the CIRB community and emphasized about group working and creating cordial working environment to enhance the working ambience in the campus. While addressing the scientists and technical officers of the center he urged that they must make their best efforts for the further improvement of the CIRB Sub-campus at Nabha. The Director had a meeting with all the employees of the sub campus and gave patience hearing to their problems and gave assurance for addressing their problems. Director also motivated the staff about the importance of ethics and honesty in one’s life for productive contribution at the Nation Building. On this occasion Director and Dr. KP Singh initiated plantation drive at Sub-campus for motivation of employees on the occasion of Basant Panchami. The meetings ended with a vote of thanks by DR.
