REPORT ON VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK 2019
As per the directive of the Central Vigilance Commission and in pursuance of the said directive issued by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi vide letter F. No. 105-1/2019–Vig Dated: 16.09.2019 to observe Vigilance Awareness Week on the theme “Integrity – A way of life”. ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Buffaloes, Hisar observed the Vigilance Awareness Week during October 28 – November 02, 2019 under the overall supervision of vigilance officer of the institute. The vigilance pledge was administered by Dr. SS Dahiya Director taken by all the employees of ICAR-CIRB, Hisar at 11.00 AM on October 30, 2019 in the reception area of the Institute. Dr. Navneet Saxena, Principal Scientist & Vigilance Officer was nominated by the Council to attend a two days training workshop at ICAR-NAARM, Hyderabad from October 31 – November 01, 2019. Further details of vigilance awareness week 2019 was uploaded on the website of institute along with the link for staff and guests to take online vigilance oath who have not done it before.
A series of programmes and activities were organized at the institute like previous years which was coordinated by Dr. Dharmendra Kumar, and Dr. Ashok Kumar Balhara, Senior Scientists of the institute. The week started with the essay writing competition on the title “Integrity – a way of life” for the staff of ICAR – CIRB, Hisar including contractual staff on October 28, 2019 On October 29, 2019, poster making competition for the wards/children of the staff of the institute was organised. In both the competition prizes for the winners were judged by the committee and were awarded on the concluding programme where an eminent speaker given a speech for the awareness and importance of vigilance at work.
The concluding function of the Vigilance Awareness Week was held on November 02, 2019. The function was presided over by Dr. S.S. Dahiya, Director ICAR-CIRB, Hisar. The winners of various competitions were felicitated by the Director with small mementos. The judges of various competitions were also felicitated. The meeting was concluded by vote of thanks.
