72nd Republic Day Celebration at Central Institute for Research on Buffaloes
The Constitution of India came into force, and India declared itself a Republic on 26 January 1950, a day thereafter celebrated annually as Republic Day in India. The staff and students of the Institute, gathered with great enthusiasm on 26th of January to celebrate the 72nd Republic Day of the country. The flag hoisting took place at 9 am followed by the singing of the national anthem and the encouraging speech of the Director, Dr. T.K. Datta. Many cultural performances were presented by the students of the Institute and children of staff. All the performances pay respect to our country’s achievements and achievers. Prizes were distributed to the performers and the programme ended with the distribution of sweets and snacks.
