Mainly I was engaged in molecular characterization of Animal Genetic Resources of India by microsatellite markers. Diversity analysyis and phylogenetic relationship was carried out in different breeds of the cattle, sheep, goat and poultry. Genetic polymorphism studies were done in marbling gene of goats and wool keratin gene in sheep. Fecundity gene ( Baroolla gene) of sheep was studied. Currently interested in association studies in the economically important genes of buffaloes with the production traits, Marbling traits and its association with the growth traits in buffaloes. Expression studies of genes regulating fertility, heat tolerance etc.
